Hiligaynon, also called Ilonggo, is an Austronesian regional language of the Philippines spoken by about 9.1 million people, predominantly on Panay Island, in Negros Occidental, and in Soccsksargen, mostly among the Hiligaynon people. It belongs to the Bisayan languages and is the second most widely spoken language in the Visayas region.
