The Mbum-Day languages are a subgroup of the Savanna languages, formerly placed in the Adamawa family, spoken across southern Chad, northwestern Central African Republic, northern Cameroon and eastern Nigeria. The group divides into four branches, Bua, Kim, Mbum and Day, with the Mbum branch itself containing numerous languages including Mbum proper, Mbere, Gbete, Karang, Tupuri and Mundang; Roger Blench's 2006 analysis places Mbum-Day within a wider Gur-Adamawa continuum.
