Katla-Tima, also known as Katloid, is a small language family of two to three closely related languages, Katla, also called Kaalak, and Tima, also called Domorik or Lomorik, spoken in the Nuba Hills of Sudan. Its place within Niger-Congo is uncertain: its languages lack the noun-class system characteristic of that family, and linguist Roger Blench treats Katla-Tima as a divergent branch standing outside the Atlantic-Congo core of Niger-Congo.
