The Furu languages are a proposed group of poorly attested, extinct or nearly extinct and otherwise unclassified Southern Bantoid languages within Niger-Congo's Benue-Congo branch, spoken in the Furu-Awa Subdivision of Cameroon and possibly belonging to the Beboid group. The suggested group comprises Bikya, also called Furu, Bishuo, Busuu, and the unattested Lubu, remembered only by village elders' grandparents. Word lists for the first three were compiled by Michel Dieu but lost after his death; Roland Kiessling's 2007 fieldwork confirmed they are ordinary Bantoid languages, though their exact placement remains uncertain.
