Aari is a South Omotic language of the Afroasiatic family, spoken by the Aari people of the South Omo Zone in Ethiopia. It had approximately 285,000 native speakers as of 2007, of whom around 129,350 were monolingual, out of an ethnic population of 289,835 in the same year.
