This group collects members of the Witotoan (Huitotoan) family and the closely linked Boran family, together often called Bora-Witoto or Bora-Huitoto in the comparative literature, spoken in the northwestern Amazon of Colombia and Peru by peoples including the Witoto, Ocaina, Muinane and Nonuya. Placement follows each member's own description naming it Witotoan, Huitotoan, Boran, or Bora-Witoto/Bora-Huitoto.
