This group collects members of the Nambikwaran family, a small family of about half a dozen closely related languages spoken by the Nambikwara people on federal reserves covering roughly 50,000 square kilometres in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso and neighboring Rondônia and Pará, including the Sabanê branch and the Nambikwara language proper. The family is not close to any of this subcategory's other named groups. Placement follows each member's own description naming it Nambikwaran or Nambikwara.
