This group collects members of the Macro-Je (Ge-Kaingang) stock, a proposed higher-level grouping of central and eastern Brazilian language families built around the core Je family (Kaingang, Central Je, Northern Je, Southern Je and related branches) and linked smaller families such as Kamaka, Kariri, Maxakali, Krenak, Xukuru, and the Puri and Botocudo languages. Members range from well-attested living languages to poorly documented extinct varieties whose Macro-Je affiliation is itself a scholarly proposal rather than a settled fact. Placement follows each member's own description naming a Je branch, Macro-Je, Macro-Ge, or one of these linked smaller families.
