Zambian Sign Language is used by the deaf community of Zambia, though it is unclear how many Zambians use it; it is taught in some special schools and appears through interpreters on some television programs. The Association of Sign Language Interpreters of Zambia works to promote its support and recognition in schools, government and entertainment media such as television.
